Deputy Reports Editor
Deputy Reports Editor
The role
Are you full of great editorial ideas? Do you have a nose for a good story and an interest in how data can help uncover hidden trends? Can you manage competing deadlines and a roster of freelance writing talent? Then this could be the job for you.
We’re looking for a Deputy Reports Editor to help run our award-winning Special Reports supplements that feature in The Times, The Sunday Times and on raconteur.net.
A highly creative thinker, you will need to be passionate about the future of business, and the challenges and opportunities facing business leaders. We’re looking for someone that can come up with new content ideas on subjects as diverse as the future of the CIO, customer experience and where the payments industry is going next, and can spot the freelance pitch with promise and turn it into a killer commission.
A people person, you’ll need to liaise with our freelance writers on their articles, providing feedback and working with them to ensure we produce the most interesting, engaging content possible. The ability to work with our sales teams is also key as we look to balance commercial obligations with editorial integrity.
Beyond the words, this role is responsible for the layout and look of our Special Reports so an ability to find great imagery and source data are key. We’re well known in the industry for our infographics and data storytelling, so we need someone who is just as happy digging through statistics and reports to find new insights as they are reading features.
This is an important new role for Raconteur’s growing editorial team. To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter detailing relevant experience and why you are interested in the role and working for Raconteur.
