Head of Marketing
The role
Raconteur is searching for an ambitious head of marketing to help accelerate our goal of becoming the go-to marketing services company for B2B brands. Following several successive years of growth, and winning the PPA ‘B2B Media Brand of the Year’ award in 2022, we are now looking for a talented and creative marketer to help take us to the next level.
The primary objective for the role is to design and implement successful marketing strategies that will help Raconteur expand its online audience, increase their engagement with our content and services, and, in turn, diversify revenue streams and foster profitable, long-term relationships with our clients.
The marketing function at Raconteur is being rebuilt from scratch, and we want to experiment with creative ideas. As such, ambition and bravery will be key to success in this role. Initially, you will manage a team of four individuals (three existing employees and one new hire), and with success, we expect this team to grow further in size over time.
The head of marketing position will also sit on Raconteur’s leadership team and will be expected to contribute positively to leadership discussions in order to shape the future direction of the business.
About Raconteur
Raconteur was founded in 2008 on the conviction that business leaders value quality content that is expertly produced and beautifully designed. Almost 15 years later, we remain convinced that professionals are searching for journalism that inspires and informs on new ways of doing business and new approaches to leadership.
Our audience chooses Raconteur because our journalism stands out from the competition. We are committed to providing quality long-form stories that use eye-catching design and striking data visualisation. We don’t chase clicks through deceiving headlines and we aren’t focused on breaking news. We want to understand what change means for business leaders and the companies they run. That’s why we obsess over illustrations, analyse data sets for the hidden stories and work with leading opinion-formers.
Behind Raconteur’s public-facing brand is a hugely successful marketing services business which helps leading B2B brands with brand awareness, thought leadership and lead generation objectives. Clients include global brands such as Salesforce, Bloomberg, Fedex, Aon, ServiceNow and Nespresso.
