The division focuses entirely on creating digital content solutions, including online-only special reports (supported by online display advertising and sponsored content), native content and short video documentaries. Solutions will be hosted on Raconteur’s website, The Times online and other partner’s digital channels.
The core purpose of this role is to pitch and sell fully integrated digital solutions directly to clients and create long-term relationships with key accounts. The ideal candidate will research and target industry sectors, engaging senior decision-makers around the value of contextual digital content and video solutions. Once sales are agreed, the candidate will then project manage the production process and assist Raconteur’s in-house production team in delivering a premium product and service.
This is a client-facing sales role and the right candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong business development skills as well as a real desire to win new business relationships and grow existing accounts. The candidate will have previous experience selling digital solutions and an existing network of marketing professionals within leading B2B companies.
As one of the first hires in a new division with high growth potential, there will be significant progression opportunities for any candidate who performs well in this role.
The ideal candidate
Working in a vibrant and ambitious editorial/agency environment, you will have a minimum of 4 years’ sales/business development experience
Proficiency using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong interest in current affairs/business/publishing
Proven strong commercial acumen and research skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Superb communication skills in spoken and written English
Clear entrepreneurial flair and happy to work as a growing business
Able to work and perform in a high pressured environment
Strong academic background, a 2:1 Bachelor degree minimum from a top 20 University
Excellent organisational skills

Raconteur Media offers an exciting salary and reward package for bright and self-motivated high achievers. The role will be paid a basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience + commissions (genuine OTE of £55,000).
In addition, we offer 25 days holiday excluding public holidays, health and dental insurance.
